Vulcans play to scoreless tie vs Slippery Rock

California recognizes group of five seniors; Visco registers third shutout of the season

CALIFORNIA (Nov. 1) – The Vulcans played to a 0-0 scoreless tie against Slippery Rock while hosting Senior Day on Saturday afternoon in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West action at the Phillipsburg Soccer Facility.

NOTES
• California (2-11-2, 0-8-1) recorded to its second scoreless tie of the season, previously earning a 0-0 result against Shippensburg on Sept. 24.
• The teams entered halftime scoreless after combining for 10 shot attempts with four placed on goal.
• In the second half, the teams were issued a combined eight cards and The Rock was whistled for offside three times over the final seven minutes.
• Slippery Rock held a 13-6 shot advantage, while both teams finished with two corner kicks.
• Senior AJ Visco made five saves to earn his third shutout of the season.
• Cal recognized a group of five seniors prior to play on Saturday.

• The Vulcans close out the regular season on Thursday, Nov. 6, when they travel to face nationally-ranked Gannon in Erie, Pennsylvania, at 4 p.m.
