EDINBORO, Pa. (Dec. 5) – California University of Pennsylvania juniors Julian Muccioli (Perryopolis, Pa./Frazier) and Hunter Ribarchak (Elizabeth, Pa./Elizabeth Forward) opened the season over the weekend by competing in the heptathlon at the Mike Kowal Multi hosted by Edinboro.

Muccioli placed sixth overall in the heptathlon on Sunday with 3,806 points over seven events. He finished in third place in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.33 seconds and also posted a time of 9.61 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles to place fourth in the event.

In his first career heptathlon, Ribarchk totaled 3,642 points to finish in eighth place. He placed fourth overall in the pole vault after clearing 3.65 meters (11-11.75 feet).

The Vulcans are now idle until after the holidays.
