Keith Lowe (Columbus, Ohio/Centennial) posted his third-straight, 20 point game and junior
Anthony Lytle (Altoona, Pa./Altoona) recorded a double-double on Saturday afternoon at the Convocation Center, as the Vulcans earned an 82-71 win against Edinboro in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West play.
With the victory, the California University of Pennsylvania men's basketball team improves to 3-3 this season with a 2-1 mark in league action. Meanwhile, Edinboro falls to 5-1 overall, including a 2-1 record in conference play, after opening with five-straight wins for the first time since the 2009-09 season.
Lowe established a career high with 27 points on 11-of-18 shooting, including two-of-six from beyond the arc. He added five rebounds, three assists and three steals in the victory. Lowe has scored a combined 75 points over the last three games after averaging 9.3 points through the first three games this year.
Lytle registered his first double-double of the year on Saturday, setting season highs with 17 points and 12 rebounds (five offensive). He made 6-of-11 attempts from the floor and went five-of-eight from the free-throw line.

Chris Williams (Philadelphia, Pa./Bishop McDevitt) added a season-high 11 points and five rebounds off the bench. Sophomore guard
Tynell Fortune (Harlem, N.Y./Pocono Mountain West (Pa.)) posted nine points and three steals, while senior forward
Mitchell Weedon (Frederick, Md./Tuscarora) collected 11 rebounds (four offensive) in the victory.
Cal U opened the game on a quick 7-0 lead behind two treys by Lowe before stretching the lead to 16-3 after Lowe converted a traditional three-point play with 15:26 left in the first half. After the Fighting Scots made a pair of free-throws, the Vulcans mounted an 11-0 rally over nearly four minutes to take a 27-5 lead with 10:15 remaining. Edinboro later posted an 8-2 run to trim the deficit to 36-21 with 5:24 left before a last-second basket in the first half gave Cal U a 44-33 lead at the break.
The Fighting Scots opened the second half on a 12-6 run to cut the deficit to 54-49 before the Vulcans responded with seven points in less than a minute to take a 61-51 lead on a three-pointer by Fortune with 12:54 remaining. Edinboro trimmed the deficit to 63-59 before Cal U scored five-straight points to take a 68-61 lead following a fastbreak lay-up by Lytle with 7:54 left to play. After the Fighting Scots cut the deficit to six points, the Vulcans reclaimed a double-digit lead in the final minute by making three free-throws.
Cal U finished the game shooting 41.8 percent (28-of-67) from the field and made 71.0 percent (22-of-31) from the free-throw line. In comparison, Edinboro shot at a 32.9 clip (24-of-73) from the floor and converted just 27.6 percent (8-of-29) from beyond the arc. The Vulcans held a 55-42 rebounding advantage and scored 32 points from inside the paint.
Edinboro junior Bryan Theriot finished with a team-high 18 points while shooting just 5-of-15 from the floor. Senior Isaiah Prince, an All-PSAC West First-Team selection last year, was limited to nine points on 4-of-18 attempts.
Cal U is idle for over a week before returning to PSAC Crossover play when it hosts Mansfield at Hamer Hall on Dec. 18 at 7:30 p.m.
