CLARION, Pa. (Nov. 3) – The California University of Pennsylvania volleyball team moved into a tie for second place in the league standings with a 3-0 win (25-19, 25-21, 25-19) at Clarion on Saturday afternoon in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action.
With the victory, the Vulcans improve to 25-6 overall after entering the week as the top-ranked team in the NCAA Atlantic Region. Cal U and Clarion are now both tied for second place in the PSAC West standings at 13-4. Meanwhile, the Golden Eagles fall to 23-8 this season after being fourth in the initial regional rankings.

Brandy Harris (Bedford, Pa./Bedford) tallied her ninth kill/dig double-double of the season, finishing with 13 kills and 11 digs. Classmate
Kelly Fromknecht (Erie, Pa./McDowell) finished with 10 kills in the win, while senior
Meghan Franz (Cranberry Twp., Pa./Seneca Valley) and sophomore

Molly Delaney (Carmel, Ind./Westfield) paced the defense with 20 digs. Muzy finished with nine digs, while Freund and Fromknecht both added seven digs. Freshman
Miranda Fouzie (Kingston, Ontario/Sydenham) set a career high with seven blocks in the sweep.
The Vulcans return to action on Tuesday, Nov. 6, when they travel to IUP at 7 p.m.
