Brandy Harris (Bedford, Pa./Bedford) and sophomore
Julia Muzy (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil/Liceu Franco Brasileiro) both registered double-digit kills on Tuesday night at the Convocation Center, as the Vulcans posted a 3-0 win (25-23, 29-27, 25-17) over IUP in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action.
With the victory, the California University of Pennsylvania volleyball team improves to 21-4 overall with a 10-2 record in league play. Meanwhile, IUP falls to 18-10 this season behind a 6-6 mark in conference action.
Harris, who was named the PSAC West Athlete of the Week earlier in the day, finished with a team-high 11 kills. Muzy posted 10 kills and senior
Kelly Fromknecht (Greencastle, Pa./Greencastle-Antrim) added seven kills versus the Crimson Hawks. Junior
Abbey Freund (Cottage Grove, Wis./Monona Grove) and Fromknecht directed the offense with 20 and 16 assists, respectively.
