CALIFORNIA (June 1) – With the recent conclusion of the 2009-10 athletic year, the California University of Pennsylvania athletic department released upcoming schedules for football, men's soccer, swimming and volleyball on Tuesday. Cal U will release the remainder of its fall schedules once they are finalized.

On the gridiron, the Vulcans are the three-time, defending-NCAA regional champions and have won five-consecutive (three outright) Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division titles. Cal U opens the 2010 campaign on Saturday, Sept. 4, with a road game at Saginaw Valley (Mich.).
The Cal U men's soccer team has registered a winning season in 11 of the last 12 years, which includes claiming the PSAC Championship in 2008. The Vulcans open the new campaign with a home game on Thursday, Sept. 2, against Alderson-Broaddus. With the new alignment for PSAC Soccer, Cal U will play a single conference game against each of the other nine soccer teams in the league (no divisions).
After a fifth-place finish at the PSAC Championships last year, the Vulcans return to the pool with a quad-meet at Lock Haven on the weekend of Oct. 22-23. Cal U has featured three individual All-Americans and a pair of All-American relay teams over the last two seasons.
On the court, Cal U is the three-time, defending-PSAC and NCAA Atlantic Regional Champions after boasting a combined record of 111-12 (.902). The Vulcans open the 2010 campaign when they travel to Boca Raton, Fla., on Sept. 3-4 for the Lynn Tournament.
