Final 2025-26 Dixon Trophy Standings
LOCK HAVEN, Pa. (May 20) – California (PA) placed ninth in the final edition of the 2025-26 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Dixon Trophy standings among the 17 league schools, the league office announced on Wednesday afternoon.
The Dixon Trophy standings are based on an average score for every PSAC Championship sport that an institution sponsors. Each conference sport champion is awarded 17 points and a descending point value is given for respective place finishes. The second-through last-place values vary depending on the number of teams that sponsor the sport.
Cal averaged 8.33 overall points throughout the academic year, including 9.6 points during the spring season. Women's outdoor track & field led the spring sports with 15 points, while three other sports accounted for at least nine points.
Women's outdoor track & field placed third at the PSAC Championships for the third time in the last six years while tallying the highest point total in program history. Tennis posted 10.5 points while qualifying for the PSAC Tournament for the second-straight year. Softball finished with nine points after appearing in the PSAC Tournament and women's golf tallied seven points by finishing seventh at the league championships for a consecutive season.
On the men's side, outdoor track & field totaled nine points after placing seventh at the PSAC Championships. Baseball finished with seven points following an appearance in the league tournament.
West Chester captured the Dixon Trophy for the sixth time in program history with the previous five coming during a seven-year span from 2013-19. The Golden Rams averaged 12.08 points with conference titles in men's golf, men's swimming and women's swimming, plus runner-up finishes in baseball, women's golf and women's outdoor track & field.
Defending-Dixon Trophy Champion Gannon slipped to second in the spring with 11.75 points. East Stroudsburg finished third with 11.47 points and IUP ranked fourth at 10.97 points, while Slippery Rock rounded out the top five at 10.88 points.
Nine different programs have won the Dixon Trophy, led by Shippensburg with eight titles. The other schools are: West Chester (six), Bloomsburg (three), Gannon (three), Lock Haven (three), Cal (two), Slippery Rock (two), Kutztown (one) and Millersville (one).
