Justin Taucher (Pittsburgh, Pa./Chartiers Valley) scored the game-winning goal in the 68th minute on Monday to lead the Vulcans to a 3-2 non-conference road victory over Charleston (W.Va.).
The California University of Pennsylvania men's soccer team improves to 3-0 this season – all wins over West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WVIAC) members. Meanwhile, Charleston falls to 3-1 this year.

The Vulcans return to action on Saturday, Sept. 5, when they open PSAC West play with a road game against Slippery Rock. The game is scheduled for a 3 p.m. start. Cal U swept the three meetings with Slippery Rock last season, including a 3-1 victory in the semifinals of the PSAC Tournament.
