Boswell averaged 20.0 points while shooting 72.2 percent (13-of-18) from the field over the weekend, as the Vulcans earned two wins at the MEC/PSAC Tip-Off Challenge hosted by Charleston. He also added 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists while playing all 40 minutes in both victories. Boswell opened the season with 22 points on 7-of-10 shooting, five rebounds and three assists on Friday in a 96-92 win over the host Golden Eagles, who are ranked No. 25 in the preseason NABC poll. The senior transfer then registered 18 points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals in a 93-89 victory against Glenville State on Saturday. Boswell, who last played a game in early February 2020, helped the Vulcans post their first win over a top-25 team since January 2014 in the season-opener.
