Mitchell directed the game-winning drive in the closing seconds on Saturday, as Cal U posted a 38-34 victory at then-No. 23 IUP in the Coal Bowl. He finished with 359 passing yards and four touchdowns on 30-of-43 attempts with no interceptions to earn Coal Bowl MVP honors. Mitchell threw a pair of touchdowns in the final 1:40 of the contest, including the game-winning score with 11 seconds remaining, as the Vulcans won on the road in the series for the first time since 2011.
