CALIFORNIA (March 31) – A group of 10 standout football players from college programs around Western Pennsylvania participated in a Pro Day at Adamson Stadium on Wednesday, including four former California University of Pennsylvania players.
Running back
Brandon Anderson (Pittsburgh, Pa./Penn Hills), wide receiver
Dominique Curry (Philadelphia, Pa./George Washington), cornerback
Terrence Johnson (Braddock, Pa./Woodland Hills) and defensive lineman
Willie Walker (Aliquippa, Pa./Aliquippa) showcased their skills in front of scouts and team representatives from the NFL's Cleveland Browns, Jacksonville Jaguars, New Orleans Saints and Philadelphia Eagles
In addition to Cal U, the group featured performers from four other Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) member schools, while there was also one NCAA Division III representative.
The players were tested in a variety of NFL Combine-style drills, such as the 3-cone drill, vertical jump and 40-yard dash.
The NFL Draft features a new three-day format this year, beginning on Thursday, April 22. There have been a total of 36 all-time players from the PSAC selected in the NFL Draft, most recently was former Bloomsburg offensive lineman Jahri Evans. Evans was chosen in the fourth round in 2006 by New Orleans and was a starter for the Saints on their recent Super Bowl Championship team.
