CALIFORNIA (Sept. 4) – California (PA) senior
Rosalyn Perozzi claimed the individual title on Friday evening at Roadman Park, as the Vulcans edged IUP by a single point to win the Coal Tin Cup in the opening event of the season.
NOTES
• Cal won the dual meet by a score of 28-29 over IUP after featuring three of the top-four runners.
• The Vulcans last competed in a dual meet when they opened the 2014, 2015 and 2016 seasons versus then-Wheeling Jesuit at Roadman Park.
• Perozzi paced the field by nearly 20 seconds with a time of 18 minutes, 47.6 seconds.
• She earned a pair of individual titles last fall before winning the league title in the 5,000-meter run at the 2026 PSAC Outdoor Championships.
• Freshman
Addison Fry finished third overall after crossing the finish line in 19:22.7, while sophomore
Kailyn Hamilton posted a time of 19:45.4 to finish in fourth place.

• Cal is idle for two weeks before competing at the Penn State Behrend Invitational on Sept. 18 in Erie, Pennsylvania.
