CALIFORNIA (Sept. 22) – The California (PA) volleyball team overcame an early nine-point deficit in the third set to complete a 3-0 victory (25-13, 25-23, 25-22) against Malone (OH) in non-conference play on Tuesday evening at the Convocation Center.
NOTES
• The Vulcans (6-7) were playing their fourth match this season against a Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) member.
• Sophomore
Olivia Weiseman recorded her third kill/dig double-double of the year with 19 kills and 10 digs.
• Her 19 kills were the most kills in a three-set match since Lois van Schaik against Millersville in 2018.
• Weisman hit at a .425 clip while finishing with 40 attempts against the Pioneers.
• Senior
Lindsey Scammell tallied nine kills on a .643 hitting percentage and four blocks.
• Junior
Lexi Muck and sophomore
Alayna Jones both added five kills in the victory.
• Freshmen
Molly Smiddy and
Gracen Hartman guided the offense with 23 and 18 assists, respectively.

Alece Evanto set a season high with 18 digs, while classmate
Aubrey Bumblis added 10 digs.

Riley Evans both recorded three blocks on Tuesday.
