MILLERSVILLE, Pa. (Sept. 12) – Senior transfer quarterback
Eric Gibson, Jr. threw four touchdowns, including three to sophomore wide receiver
Kenny Lewis IV, on Saturday afternoon, as the Vulcans rolled to a 40-17 win at Millersville in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Crossover action.
NOTES
• The Vulcans (2-0) and Marauders were meeting for the first time since 2021 with Cal playing its first road game in the series since 2017.
• Gibson finished with 384 passing yards and four touchdowns on 29-of-40 attempts with one interception.
• He is the first quarterback with back-to-back games with four touchdown passes since
Noah Mitchell, now co-offensive coordinator, accomplished the feat in three-straight games during the 2021 campaign.
• Lewis posted 139 receiving yards and three touchdowns on seven catches, plus added 84 yards on two kickoff returns.
• He is the first player with three receiving touchdowns in a game since Omari Hopkins in 2023.

Tyler Long finished with 68 receiving yards on five catches.

Bobbie Boyd, Jr. recorded a game-high 72 rushing yards on 11 carries.
• Cal posted 193 rushing yards on 35 attempts for a 5.5 yards per carry average.

Tajuan Bandy led the team with six tackles, while sophomore defensive back
Tavin Willis registered four stops, one interception, 1.5 TFL and 0.5 sack.
• Sophomore transfer linebacker
Khalil Holley was credited with 1.5 sacks, one blocked kick and one pass break-up.
• The Vulcans finished with 577 yards of total offense and amassed 30 first downs.
RECAP
• Millersville built a 9-0 lead with 6:40 left in the first quarter before Holley blocked a PAT attempt following an 18-yard touchdown pass.
• The Vulcans cut the deficit to a 9-7 margin on the ensuing possession when Gibson connected with Lewis for a 16-yard touchdown at the 3:35-mark.
• Cal claimed the lead early in the second quarter with a 52-yard touchdown pass from Gibson to Lewis.
• Willis halted the next drive in Millersville territory with an interception before Gibson found Lewis for an 18-yard touchdown with 11:43 left in the first half (PAT missed).
• The Vulcans advanced deep into Marauders territory on their next two drives, which resulted in a missed field goal and an interception before taking a 20-9 lead at halftime.
• Following a field goal early in the third quarter, Cal added a two-yard touchdown pass from Gibson to sophomore wide receiver
Keondre DeShields at the 1:41-mark.

Harry Radcliffe added another field goal with 9:41 left in the fourth quarter before the Marauders followed with a 41-yard touchdown pass on third down to cut the deficit to 33-17.

Da'sjon Craggette scored on a two-yard touchdown run at the 4:04-mark.
• Cal halted the final Millersville drive with an interception by freshman defensive back
Dylan Spriddle with 1:37 left to play.
NEXT
• The Vulcans return to action on Saturday, Sept. 19, when they travel to face Shepherd in Shepherdstown, West Virginia at 12 p.m.
• Cal and Shepherd will be meeting for the third time since the Rams joined the PSAC (2022, 2023).
• The Rams (2-0) posted a 45-28 victory against Gannon on Sept. 12 following a season-opening win against Frostburg State, which advanced to the 2025 Super Region One Championship.
