FINDLAY, Ohio (Aug. 29) – Following the season-opening weekend in her native Ohio, California (PA) sophomore
Olivia Weiseman was named to the Findlay Classic All-Tournament Team on Saturday afternoon.
Weiseman finished with 38 kills on 130 attacks in three matches while averaging 3.80 kills per set. She opened play on Friday with nine kills and nine digs in a 3-0 loss against the host Oilers, which earned a berth to the 2025 NCAA Tournament. Weiseman later posted 15 kills on a .325 attack percentage and seven digs in a 3-0 loss against Ashland (OH) on Friday. The 5-foot-10 sophomore closed play over the weekend with 14 kills, two service aces and four digs on Saturday in a 3-1 loss against Davenport (MI).
Last year, Weiseman was as both the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Atlantic Region Freshman of the Year and Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West Freshman of the Year. She averaged 3.18 kills and 3.59 digs per set while recording 18 double-doubles.
The Vulcans return to action with three matches on Sept. 4-5 at the Wheeling Invitational.
