FINDLAY, Ohio (Aug. 29) – The California (PA) volleyball team closed its season-opening weekend with a 3-1 loss (22-25, 25-10, 25-17, 25-17) to Davenport (MI) of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) at the Findlay (OH) Classic on Saturday morning.
NOTES
• The Vulcans (0-3) played three matches against teams from the Midwest Region in Ohio this weekend.
• Sophomore
Olivia Weiseman led the team with 14 kills on 49 attempts.

Lindsey Scammell and freshman
Madelyn Salisbury both added eight kills on Saturday.
• Freshman transfer
Molly Smiddy recorded an assist/dig double-double with 20 assists and 11 digs, while fellow freshman transfer
Gracen Hartman collected 12 assists.

Tori Newton paced the defensive effort with 19 digs.
