SALEM, W.Va. (April 6) – The Vulcans suffered a 4-3 loss at Salem on Monday evening in non-conference play while playing a second-straight opponent that appeared in the 2025 NCAA Tournament.
NOTES
• California (9-9) and Salem have met in five-consecutive seasons with the Tigers winning three of the last four matches.
• The Vulcans secured the doubles point after claiming wins at the first and third positions.
• Salem defaulted at third doubles after featuring only five players in the lineup.

Sofia Rodriguez posted a 6-3 victory at the first slot.
• In singles, Cal opened with a default win at the sixth position before Salem won four matches with the match being decided at fifth singles.
• Guldimann tallied a 6-0, 6-2 victory at the first slot for her ninth overall singles win of the year, and sixth at the first position.
