CALIFORNIA (March 22) – Playing its second home match in as many days, the California (PA) tennis team suffered a 6-1 loss to Fairmont State on Sunday afternoon at Roadman Park in non-conference action.
NOTES
• The Vulcans (8-7) were facing the Fighting Falcons for the fourth time in the last six years.
• Last spring, Fairmont State advanced to the finals of the Mountain East Conference (MEC) Tournament and the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
• The Fighting Falcons secured the doubles point by sweeping all three matches in the session.

Garance Laforet collected the team's lone victory in single play with a 6-3, 6-4 win at the third position.
• She now leads the team with 10 wins in singles action while playing at three different slots in the lineup.
