GREENSBURG, Pa. (March 22) – The California (PA) softball team belted three homers in Game 1 on Sunday afternoon while earning a split of a doubleheader at Seton Hill in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West action, winning 18-10 in Game 1 before suffering a 6-3 loss in Game 2.
NOTES
• The Vulcans (8-14, 3-1) split with the Griffins after being swept last year's series with three run-rule defeats.
• Last spring, Cal scored 19 runs in a run-rule victory over Clarion.
• The Vulcans hit at a .349 clip (45=for-129) and scored 32 runs in four games during the opening weekend of divisional play.
GAME 1
• The Vulcans scored a season-high 18 runs with all nine players in the lineup finishing with at least one hit, including five multi-hit games.

Indyana Bolyea tallied four hit with a two-run homer, four RBI and two runs scored, while senior shortstop
Jenna Hollerich posted four hits, three RBI and three runs scored.

Alexa Edmunds collected four hits with a solo homer and two runs scored, while classmate
Savanna Benish scored three runs after reaching on two walks, a single and a hit by pitch.
• Cal raced out to a 5-0 lead in the top of the first behind a grand slam by sophomore second baseman
Amarah McCutcheon.
• The Vulcans collected back-to-back, two-out RBI singles by Hollerich and Bolyea in the third to take a 7-1 lead.
• Seton Hill responded with six runs in the bottom of the third and added one run in the fourth, 8-7.
• In the fifth, sophomore third baseman
Makayla Jerin delivered a two-run single and sophomore catcher
Kirra Davis followed with an RBI single to give Cal a 10-8 lead.•
• The Vulcans extended the lead to 14-8 in the sixth after scoring four runs, including RBI singles by Hollerich and Jerin.
• Seton Hil scored twice in the bottom of the inning before Cal tallied four runs in the seventh behind homers from Edmunds and Bolyea.

Autumn Bielecki (4-4) earned) the win after allowing four runs (three earned) on four hits and two walks in 3.1 innings of relief.
GAME 2
• Cal was limited to only four hits with two going for extra bases.
• The Griffins scored four runs in the bottom of the second, highlighted by back-to-back homers.

Avery McDaniel collected a two-out, pinch-hit RBI single to cut the deficit to a 5-1 margin.
• The Vulcans capitalized on a leadoff error in the sixth when McCutheon belted a two-run homer with two outs, 5-3.
• Freshman
Abigail Singer (3-2) was saddled with the loss after yielding five runs (three earned) on six hits in 3.1 innings.
• Senior
Megan Nidoh logged 2.2 innings of scoreless relief.
