GREENSBURG, Pa. (March 1) – The California (PA) opened the spring campaign by suffering a 5-2 loss to D'Youville (NY) on Sunday afternoon at the Greensburg Racquet Club.
NOTES
• The Vulcans (3-4) were playing the Saints for the first time in at least 25 years.
• In the fall, the PSAC announced D'Youville and Daemen (NY) would join the league as associate members in women's tennis starting in the 2026-27 season.
• The Saints began the match by securing the doubles point with a pair of victories.

Lilli Schreiber and freshman
Fernanda Sandoval Martinez posted a 7-5 victory at the third slot.
• In singles, Sandoval Martinez collected a 6-1, 6-0 at the sixth position to earn multiple victories in her collegiate debut.
• Senior
Leandra Guldimann registered a 6-3, 6-3 at first singles over regionally-ranked Munisa Ashurbekova.
• Guldimann was playing at the first slot for the first time in nearly two years.
