ORLANDO, Fla. (March 8) – The Vulcans opened their spring trip to Florida with a 5-2 victory against Minnesota Crookston on Sunday afternoon at the Lake Cane Tennis Center.
NOTES
• California (4-4) started a week that features five matches over six days in The Sunshine State.
• The Vulcans earned a pair of victories in doubles play to secure the doubles point against the Golden Eagles.

Leandra Guldimann and freshman
Sofia Rodriguez posted a 7-6 (7-1) win at the first slot, while senior
Diletta Maria Mungo and sophomore
Garance Laforet closed the session with a 7-6 (7-2) victory at the second position.
• In singles, Cal posted four victories to clinch its first dual victory of the spring campaign.
• Mungo won at the second position after her opponent retired before Rodriguez captured a 6-2, 6-2 victory at fifth singles.
• Guldimann sealed the match victory with a 2-6, 6-4, 1-0 win at the first slot and freshman
Fernanda Sandoval Martinez added a 6-4, 7-5 victory at the sixth slot.
