YORK, Pa. (Feb. 21) – The Vulcans recorded four season-best times and scored in the 400 freestyle relay on Saturday while finishing No. 11 in the team standings at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships at the Graham Aquatic Center.
The California (PA) swimming team totaled 162 points over the four-day event to place No. 11 in the team standings. West Chester captured its fourth-consecutive PSAC Championship and its 19th league title in the last 20 years after amassing 1,342 points. IUP finished second in the team standings with 1,106.5 points and Bloomsburg placed third at the event with 1,014.5 points.

Ashlyn Hornick posted a time of 3 minutes, 41.65 seconds – nearly two seconds faster than its previous season best.
Individually, Hornick established a season best in the 100 freestyle by pacing a trio of entries with a time of 56.46 seconds during the preliminaries. McCann registered a time of 2:15.81 in the preliminaries of the 200 backstroke on Saturday.
Sophomore
Adeline McCusker touched the wall in 2:32.49 in the preliminaries of the 200 breaststroke to improve her season-best mark.
IUP sophomore Gam Crittenden was named the Outstanding Swimmer of the Meet after capturing individual league titles in the 100 butterfly, 200 butterfly and 400 IM.
