SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. (Oct. 16) – The Vulcans competed in their first dual meets of the season on Friday evening when they competed in a tri-meet against Fairmont State and host Shippensburg.

DUAL RESULTS
• California (0-2) suffered a 136-56 loss against the Fighting Falcons and a 151-48 loss versus the Raiders.
• The Vulcans competed at the Donald N. Miller Pool in Shippensburg for the first since 2023.

TOP RESULTS
• Freshman Rachel Smith and sophomore Abby Simpkins recorded the team's highest individual finishes with each placing third in an event.
• Smith touched the wall in 12 minutes, 9.45 seconds in the 1000 freestyle, while Simpkins posted a time of 1:13.02 in the 100 breaststroke.
• Cal finished fourth in both the 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay on Friday.

• The Vulcans return to action on Oct. 24 when they compete in a tri-meet against Davis & Elkins and West Virginia Wesleyan in Elkins, West Virginia.
