YORK, Pa. (Feb. 19) – The California (PA) swimming team scored in multiple relays during the second day of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships at the Graham Aquatic Center on Thursday.
The Vulcans remain No. 11 in the team standings midway through the championship event with 96 points. West Chester maintained its lead in the team standings with 634 points, while IUP vaulted to second place with 524.5 points and Clarion continued to sit in third with 497.5 points.

Ashlyn Hornick posted a time of 1 minute 42.25 seconds to finish in 11th place. The 400 medley relay of freshman
Ashlyn Zeier, senior
Ella Root, Simpkins and Hornick also placed 11th overall on Thursday with a time of 4:07.56.
Individually, Glaser set a personal record in the 200 freestyle after touching the wall in 2:01.46 during the preliminaries. McCann also registered a season-best mark of 2:03.19 in the event.
Zeier was the team's top individual finisher in the 400 IM at 5:00.61, while Simpkins paced the team in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:01.35.
Cal resumes action at the PSAC Championships tomorrow, Friday, Feb. 20 with preliminaries beginning at 10 a.m. The Vulcans have five entries scheduled to compete in the 100 breaststroke, plus an entry in the 100 backstroke, during the fifth session.
