CALIFORNIA (Jan. 17) – The California (PA) swimming team continued its weekend homestand by finishing third at the Vulcan Invitational with the event featuring the same five teams from yesterday's Winter Frenzy.
STANDINGS
• The Vulcans totaled 125 points while hosting teams from three different states.
• Hillsdale (MI) won the event with 257 points after winning all nine events and Frostburg State placed second with 143 points.
NOTES

Adeline McCusker and freshman
Abby Simpkins both posted second-place finishes in individual events on Saturday.
• McCusker touched the wall in 2 minutes, 37.45 seconds in the 200 breaststroke, while Simpkins finished the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:02.68.
• The 400 freestyle relay of freshman

Ashlyn Hornick and freshman
Callie McCann posted a time of 3:54.63 to finish fourth in the event.
