CLARION, Pa. (Jan. 14) – The California (PA) women's basketball team recorded its most rebounds in a decade while cruising to an 86-57 win at Clarion in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West action on Wednesday evening.
NOTES
• The Vulcans (9-10, 5-4) extended their winning streak in the series with the Golden Eagles to 27 games, dating back to the 2011-12 campaign.
• Cal finished with 59 rebounds (21 offensive) at Clarion to mark its highest total since totaling 61 rebounds versus West Chester in January 2016.
• Juniors
Kennedy Bankett and
Kimaya Williams both registered double-doubles in the victory.
• Bankett scored a season-high 26 points on 9-of-13 shooting and six-of-seven from the free-throw line.
• She also collected 10 rebounds (six offensive) and three assists over 35 minutes on Wednesday.
• Williams posted 20 rebounds (eight offensive) and a career-high 13 assists.
• She joins Kim Nowakowski as the only Cal players in the last quarter century with multiple 20-rebound performances in a career.
• Additionally, the 13 assists by Williams are the most by a Vulcan since January 2023.

Macy Sardone scored a career-high 17 points (13 second half) and added five rebounds and two assists off the bench.
• Classmate
Jalasia Hull tallied 12 points, two assists and three steals in the victory.

Alicia Young and sophomore
Hope Hawkins both scored in double-digits and finished with 10 points, while Hawkins added eight rebounds.
• The Vulcans held a 17-13 lead at the end of the first quarter while already holding a sizable 18-2 rebounding advantage.
• Cal mounted a 17-3 run over six minutes in the second quarter to build a 42-22 lead at the break.
• The Vulcans shot 10-of-17 from the floor in the third quarter while extending the lead to a 67-32 margin.
• Cal led by as many as 37 points, 74-37, with 8:19 left in the fourth quarter on Wednesday.
• The Vulcans scored a season-high 86 points while shooting 47.1 percent (33-of-70) from the floor.
• Cal held a staggering plus-32 rebound advantage (59-27) behind 21 offensive rebounds.
