WEST CHESTER, Pa. (Sept. 27) – The Vulcans scored the initial goal of the game before surrendering three goals in the second half while being dealt a 3-1 defeat at West Chester in non-conference play on Saturday afternoon.

• The California (PA) men's soccer team (2-3-1) played its final non-conference contest of the season when it faced West Chester.
• The Vulcans made a pair of saves within a 90-second span in the opening minutes of play.
• Cal registered the initial tally in the 21st minute when senior
Brady Olsen scored his third goal of the year with an assist from junior
Seth Basinger.
• The Golden Rams tied the score in the opening three minutes of the second half on Saturday.
• West Chester later claimed the lead the at the 57:48-mark and added to the lead in the 71st minute with Luke Newman being credited with his second assist of the game.
• The Golden Rams out-shot the Vulcans by a 24-3 margin and also held a 7-1 edge in corner kicks.
