Men's Soccer battles to scoreless tie

Visco, Santos combine for team's third shutout this fall; Cal attempts 13 shots on Wednesday

CALIFORNIA (Sept. 24) – The California (PA) men's soccer team played to a 0-0 scoreless tie against Shippensburg on Wednesday evening in non-conference action at the Phillipsburg Soccer Facility.

NOTES
• The Vulcans (2-2-1) played to their first scoreless tie since Oct. 12, 2019.
• Cal placed three of its seven shot attempts on goal in the first half.
• The Vulcans finished the game with a 13-6 shot advantage and held a 7-6 edge in corner kicks on Wednesday.
• Senior AJ Visco and redshirt junior Breno Santos both played 45 scoreless minutes versus the Raiders.
• Santos tallied a pair of saves in the second half while making his program debut.

• Cal plays its final non-conference game of the fall on Saturday, Sept. 27, when it travels to face West Chester at 1 p.m.
