CALIFORNIA (July 15) – California (PA) Athletics is proud to announce a new partnership with FanWord, one of the leading AI technology & storytelling companies in college athletics. Through this collaboration, Cal will leverage FanWord Assist, an innovative storytelling software designed to help athletic departments streamline and elevate their content creation efforts.

Home to more than 400 student-athletes competing across 19 intercollegiate sports, Cal is the latest institution to join FanWord's fast-growing list of NCAA Division II partners, including Fresno Pacific, Minnesota State, Missouri Southern State and Bemidji State. As a proud member of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference, Cal has long been committed to fostering athletic and academic excellence. Now, with the addition of FanWord Assist, the department is taking its storytelling efforts to the next level.

FanWord Assist empowers athletic communication teams to create compelling written content more efficiently, such as game recaps, feature stories and player bios. The software enhances Cal's ability to shine a spotlight on its student-athletes, coaches and alumni, celebrating their journeys both on and off the field.

FanWord currently works with more than 100 colleges, universities and conferences across all levels. Cal's addition marks another milestone in FanWord's continued expansion across NCAA Division II.
