CALIFORNIA (July 29) – California (PA) Athletics has announced a partnership with Influxer, an officially licensed vendor that allows student-athletes to sell unique and custom apparel through a Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) agreement.
Influxer is an officially licensed vendor that works with over 500 schools to create co-branded apparel customized with players' names and numbers. Through this partnership, Influxer will provide student-athletes with education and training on marketing, entrepreneurship and personal branding.
"Student-athletes at California now have the ability to work with Influxer on NIL merchandising opportunities," said California Athletic Director Dr. Karen Hjepre. "Influxer provides not only the ability for student-athletes to market their Name, Image, and Likeness in merchandising, but also tracks all information for them and provides education on NIL."
As a result of the partnership, every California student-athlete has the opportunity to create a personalized webpage and sell gear using their name on Vulcan branded apparel that earns them money on every sale.
"The NIL landscape is constantly evolving and working with Dr. Hjerpe and the administration has been an amazing opportunity to see the vision they have for California providing great options through Influxer for their student-athletes," said Influxer Vice President Keith Miller. "They see this as not simply a transactional opportunity, but as an opportunity to develop long term skills for life."
