MURRYSVILLE, Pa. (April 5) – The California (PA) tennis team opened Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West play with a 7-0 victory against Seton Hill on Saturday afternoon at the Murrysville Racquet Club.
NOTES
• The Vulcans (11-3, 1-0) have won three matches against the Griffins in just under a calendar year.
• Cal swept the doubles session for the first time this spring on Saturday.

Teddi Isherwood and
Leandra Guldimann tallied a 6-3 victory at the first position for their 13th win of the season.
• The Vulcans debuted a pair of new doubles tandem against the Griffins with junior
Diletta Maria Mungo and freshman
Garance Laforet earning a 6-1 win at the second slot.
• Freshmen
Anika Hedrich and
Izabelle Heacox posted a 6-1 victory in their debut at third doubles.
• Cal swept the singles session to complete the match victory against Seton Hill.
• Guldimann and Mungo both collected their team-leading 13th singles victory of the year.
• Isherwood registered a 3-6, 6-0, 6-1 win at the first position and Guldimann finished with a 6-3, 6-4 victory at the second slot.
• Mungo earned a 6-4, 6-2 victory at third singles and Laforet tallied a 6-1, 6-2 win at the fourth slot.
• Hedrich posted a 6-2, 6-1 win at the fifth position, while Heacox rounded out the lineup with a 5-7, 6-4, 1-0 victory at sixth singles.
