Makayla Jerin were voted to the All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West Teams on Tuesday afternoon.
McCutcheon earned the first-team honors at designated player, while Jerin received second-team laurels at third base. The Vulcans featured multiple freshmen on the All-PSAC West Teams for the first time since the 2021 campaign.
A Southmoreland product, McCutcheon ranks second in the league with 12 home runs and leads the conference with a .765 slugging percentage. She boasts a staggering 1.237 OPS while hitting at six different spots in the lineup this season. McCutcheon also paces the team with a .388 average, 36 RBI and a .478 on-base percentage. The 5-foot-9 freshman has started 24 games at designated player this spring with additional starts at catcher (13), shortstop (three) and first base (one). McCutcheon, who hit at .436 clip with 10 homers and 27 RBI in divisional play, is one of two freshmen selected to the 2025 All-PSAC West First-Team.
Jerin sits second on the team with a .377 average and ranks third with both a .414 on-base percentage and a .469 slugging percentage. She has tallied 12 doubles and 27 RBI while making 41 starts (34 at third base) this spring. Jerin closed PSAC West action with a .420 clip along with seven doubles and 21 RBI.
The Vulcans open play in the PSAC Tournament tomorrow, Wednesday, April 30, when they face Bloomsburg in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, at 10 a.m. The Huskies placed a trio of players on the All-PSAC East Teams this year.
