CALIFORNIA (April 19) – The California (PA) tennis team continued its weekend homestand at Roadman Park by cruising to a 7-0 win versus Clarion in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West play on Saturday morning.
NOTES
• The Vulcans (14-5, 4-1) registered its third 7-0 victory of the spring campaign, including second in divisional action.
• Cal earned the doubles points for the third time in its last six matches.
• Juniors
Teddi Isherwood and
Leandra Guldimann tallied their team-leading 15th doubles win of the year by a 6-0 count at the first position.
• Junior
Diletta Maria Mungo and freshman
Garance Laforet posted a 6-0 victory while playing at the second slot.
• The Vulcans swept all six singles matches in straight sets on Saturday.
• Isherwood recorded a 6-1, 6-0 win at the first position and Mungo finished with a 6-0, 6-0 victory in her season debut at the second slot.
• Laforet tallied a 6-0, 6-0 victory at third singles, while sophomore
Lilli Schreiber posted a 6-0, 6-0 win at the fourth position.

Anika Hedrich earned a 6-0, 6-2 win at the fifth slot and classmate
Izabelle Heacox collected a 6-0, 6-2 victory at sixth singles.

• Cal closes out the regular season on Wednesday, April 23, when it hosts Slippery Rock in PSAC West action at 4 p.m.
• The Vulcans and The Rock have already clinched berths in the PSAC Tournament and the winner of the match will secure hosting rights for a rematch in quarterfinals.
