CLERMONT, Fla. (March 7) – The Vulcans finished with a 1-9 record while playing teams from six different states and four different conferences at the PFX Spring Games during their annual trip to Florida.

Kaitlyn Achtermeier led the team with a .500 average (11-for-22) and a .955 slugging percentage while primarily playing second base. Classmate
Brianna Sersevic hit at a .333 clip (10-for-30) from the cleanup spot and junior
Makaylia Schlosser paced the team with seven RBI.

Taylor Babcock led the team with 19.2 inning pitched over six appearances behind three complete games at the PFX Spring Games. Juniors
Cheyenne Beayon and
Megan Nidoh both made five appearances in the circle while in Florida with Nidoh tallying 16.0 innings pitched.
SATURDAY, MARCH 1
California (PA) dropped its opening games of the trip versus Tiffin (OH) and Mary (ND). The Vulcans suffered a 2-0 loss to Tiffin after the Dragons scored the lone runs of the game in the bottom of the first inning. Cal held a two-run lead against Mary before the Marauders scored six-unanswered runs in an 8-4 contest. Achtermeier collected three hits and two RBI versus Mary.
SUNDAY, MARCH 2
The Vulcans suffered a pair of run-rule losses against Concordia-St. Paul (MN) and Ashland (OH), both in five innings. CSP posted a 9-1 victory over Cal with the lone run for the Vulcans being on a solo homer by Achtermeier. Ashland claimed a 10-1 win after limiting the Vulcans to just one hit in the contest.
MONDAY, MARCH 3
Cal was idle.
TUESDAY, MARCH 4
The Vulcans were dealt loses by St. Cloud State (MN) and Lynn (FL). Cal trailed by two runs midway through the fifth before suffering a 9-4 loss to the Huskies. WEDNESDAY, MARCH 5
Cal claimed a split in a pair of one-run games versus Dominican (NY) and Sioux Falls (SD). The Vulcans earned a 10-9 victory over Dominican on a walk-off RBI double by Fiorilli in the seventh inning. Schlosser delivered a pair of two-run singles and junior
Jenna Hollerich tallied three hits and three runs scored. Achtermeier belted a two-run homer in the first and worked 3.1 innings of scoreless relief to earn the win. The Vulcans dropped a 12-11 contest to Sioux Falls despite scoring seven runs in the top of the second. Cal suffered a pair of run-rule losses, both in five innings, against Findlay (OH) and Winona State (MN). The Vulcans were dealt an 8-0 loss by Findlay with Hollerich posting two of the team's five hits.
