ORLANDO, Fla. (March 6) – The Vulcans extended their winning streak to seven matches on Thursday afternoon with a 5-2 victory over Cedarville (OH).
NOTES
• The California (PA) tennis team (9-1) has posted its longest winning streak since the spring of 2016.
• The Vulcans opened the match by earning the doubles point against the Yellow Jackets.
• Juniors
Teddi Isherwood and
Leandra Guldimann posted a 6-3 win at the first position, while junior
Diletta Maria Mungo and sophomore
Lilli Schreiber claimed a 7-6 (7-4) victory at the second slot.
• Freshman
Anika Hedrich opened singles session with a 6-1, 6-3 win at the sixth position before Mungo earned a 6-2, 6-1 victory at third singles.
• Guldimann collected a 2-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10-2) win at the second slot to clinch the match victory.
• Schreiber added a 4-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-8) victory at the fourth position.
