BLOOMSBURG, Pa. (Dec. 6) – The California (PA) men' s basketball team held Bloomsburg to just over 30 percent shooting while rolling to a 72-52 victory over the Huskies in the opening game of Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Crossover action on Saturday afternoon.
NOTES
• The Vulcans (3-4, 1-0) have opened league play with a crossover win in three-consecutive seasons and four times in the last five years.
• Redshirt sophomore
Antoine Arnett led the team with 18 points on 8-of-14 shooting and added seven rebounds (three offensive) and three assists.
• Sophomore
Jordyn Buchanan posted 15 points behind five-of-seven from beyond the arc, six rebounds and six assists.
• Redshirt junior
Bryson Lucas tallied 14 points, eight rebounds, two assists, three blocks and three steals over 37 minutes.
• Junior transfer
Joshua Ray finished with 12 points, five rebounds, two blocks and two steals.
• Midway through the first half, the Vulcans scored eight-straight points to take a 21-11 lead at the 8:24-mark.
• Bloomsburg pulled within 27-22 with 2:50 left before the break before Cal responded with seven-straight points to enter halftime with a 34-22 lead.
• The Vulcans posted nine-unanswered points over three minutes early in the second half to extend the lead to 47-26 at the 13:53-mark.
• Cal led by as many as 26 points, 66-40, with 4:55 left to play on Saturday.
• The Vulcans shot 45.9 percent (28-of-61) from the floor while limiting the Huskies to a .308 field-goal percentage (16-of-52).
• Cal held a 42-31 rebounding advantage in the victory and scored 42 points in the paint.

• The Vulcans return to action on Monday, Dec. 8, when they host Bowie State in Hamer Hall in non-conference action at 5:30 p.m.
• Cal has hosted a December game in Hamer Hall in each of the previous two seasons.
