MANSFIELD, Pa. (Dec. 21) – Six different players scored in double-digits, as the Vulcans rolled to a 93-70 victory at Mansfield in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Crossover action to extend their winning streak to six games on Sunday afternoon.
NOTES
• California (7-4, 4-0) ended the calendar year as one of four teams, all Western Division programs, in the 17-team PSAC with an undefeated mark in league play.
• Redshirt junior
Bryson Lucas and junior
Joshua Ray both registered double-doubles in the win.
• Lucas tallied 16 points and 12 rebounds (three offensive), along with four assists, while Ray posted 13 points and 13 rebounds (four offensive).
• Redshirt sophomore
Antoine Arnett led the team with 19 points and added nine rebounds (five offensive) and three assists.
• Sophomore
Keondre DeShields collected 18 points, five rebounds and two steals in 26 minutes off the bench.
• Senior
Brayden Reynolds and freshman
Jordan Clayton both scored 10 points with Reynolds also finishing with six assists.
• The Vulcans posted 12-3 run early in the contest to build an 18-8 lead with 12:44 left in the first half.
• Cal later led by as many as 16 points in the first half following a 12-2 rally over four minutes to take a 36-20 lead at the 5:36-mark.
• The Mountaineers closed the half on a 12-2 run to trim the deficit to 45-39 at the break with the Vulcans holding a 27-10 rebounding advantage.
• Mansfield made the worked the deficit down to a single point three times early in the second half before Cal seized control with 17-2 run over five-plus minutes to claim a 71-55 lead with 9:33 remaining.
• The Vulcans maintained a double-double digit lead throughout the contest, leading by as many as 23 points, 93-70, in the final minute-plus of play.
• Cal scored at least 90 points for the third time this season, shooting its second-best percentage of the year at a 55.4 clip (41-of-74).
• The Vulcans set season highs with 49 rebounds and 19 assists in the victory.

• Cal is idle for nearly two weeks for the holidays before hosting East Stroudsburg at the Convocation Center on Jan. 2 in PSAC Crossover play at 5 p.m.
