CALIFORNIA (Nov. 24) – Facing its second nationally-ranked opponent this year, the California (PA) men's basketball team fell by an 83-64 margin against No. 4 Daemen (NY) at the Convocation Center in non-conference action on Monday evening.
NOTES
• The Vulcans (1-4) hosted their first nationally-ranked opponent 2024 NCAA Tournament.
• The Wildcats extended their regular-season winning streak to 38 games with the victory, as their last loss was in February 2024.

Antoine Arnett scored a team-high 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting and added two blocks.

Brayden Reynolds finished with 15 points and three assists, while sophomore
Jordyn Buchanan posted 12 points, six rebounds and two blocks.
• Daemen mounted a 17-4 run midway through the first half to build a 29-14 lead at the 6:59-mark.
• The Vulcans countered with a 15-2 run over four-plus minutes before entering the break trailing by a 33-31 margin.
• Cal faced a one-point deficit, 45-44, before Daemen seized control with a 20-5 surge over four minutes to extend the lead to 54-49 with 7:02 left to play.
• The Wildcats led by as many as 21 points, 81-60, with 90 seconds remaining.
• The Vulcans shot 47.2 percent (25-of-53) from the floor while going only 4-of-17 from long range (23.5 percent).
• Daemen held a 43-26 rebounding advantage behind 17 offensive rebounds and scored nearly 50 points in the paint.
