CALIFORNIA (Nov. 1) – The Vulcans claimed eight victories (six individual, two relays) and reached three league-qualifying standards in a 143-119 dual win over Lock Haven at Hamer Hall on Saturday afternoon.
PSAC STANDARDS
• Freshman
Ashlyn Zeier posted a PSAC-qualifying time in the 100 backstroke for the third time this season.
• Senior
Audrey Weaver and sophomore
Adeline McCusker both reached conference marks for the first time this year.
VICTORIES
• Zeier cruised to the victory in the 100 backstroke by over six seconds with a time of 1:02.20.
• McCusker touched the wall in 2:35.66 to win the 200 breaststroke, while Weaver claimed the victory in the 400 IM with a time of 4:57.27.
• The 200 medley relay of Zeier, senior
Ella Root, sophomore
Lacey Noble and senior
Ashlyn Hornick posted a time of 1:56.47 to open the meet with a victory.
• Root also claimed an individual victory in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:11.55 and Hornick captured the 50 freestyle by touching the wall in 25.98 seconds.
• Freshman
Abby Simpkins registered the victory in the 200 backstroke by over seconds with a time of 2:22.12.
• The 400 freestyle relay of freshman
Callie McCann, Hornick, McCusker and Simpkins closed the event with a winning time of 3:53.51.

• The Vulcans are idle for three weeks before competing at the seventh-annual TYR '85 Invitational hosted by Liberty in Lynchburg, Virginia, from Nov. 21-23.
