Men's Soccer drops contest at Lock Haven

Jansson registers first career goal in 85th minute; Visco tallies five saves against Bald Eagles

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. (Oct. 4) – The Vulcans trailed by one goal at halftime before being dealt a 4-1 loss at Lock Haven in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West play on Saturday afternoon.

NOTES
• The California (PA) men's soccer team (2-5-1, 0-2) was playing its third-consecutive game on the road over an eight-day span.
• The Bald Eagles took a 1-0 lead into halftime after scoring in the 40th minute on Saturday.
• Lock Haven added to the lead in the opening five minutes of the second half, 2-0.
• The Bald Eagles later scored twice within a span of less than 90 seconds, starting in the 74th minute.
• Cal avoided the shutout at the 84:38-mark when sophomore Davi Jansson registered his first career goal.
• The Vulcans finished the game with a 23-12 shot advantage and held a 6-3 edge in corner kicks.
• Senior AJ Visco recorded five saves on Saturday, marking his fourth game with at least five saves this fall.
