CLARION, Pa. (Oct. 25) - Freshman Alexis Brown scored the game-winning goal with just over 90 seconds remaining, as the California (PA) women's soccer team earned a 2-1 victory at Clarion in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West action on Saturday night.
NOTES
• The Vulcans (1-11-2, 1-8-2) snapped a 13-game winless streak.
• Cal has now won the road meeting in the series against Clarion three times in the last four years.
• The teams played to a scoreless first half despite the Golden Eagles being credited with 15 shot attempts.
• The Vulcans took a 1-0 lead in the 62nd minute when freshman
Macrina Robb recorded her second goal of the year.
• Clarion countered with a goal at the 73:19-mark before it attempted a pair of shots shortly afterward.
• The Vulcans were awarded a corner kick in the 89th minute and Brown followed with the first goal of her collegiate career with assists from Robb and junior
Veronica Warunek.

Autumn Bishop and
Kaleigh Rexroad split time in net in the victory, each playing 45 minutes.
• Bishop made five saves in a scoreless first half, while Rexroad earned the win after tallying three saves over the final 45 minutes.
• The Golden Eagles finished with a 23-7 shot advantage, while the teams attempted just three corner kicks.
