Men's Soccer shutout in loss to Gannon

Vulcans suffer back-to-back shutout losses; Golden Knights are tied for PSAC lead in goals

CALIFORNIA (Oct. 18) – Facing the defending-regional champions, the Vulcans suffered a 4-0 loss against Gannon on Saturday afternoon at the Phillipsburg Soccer Facility in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West action.

NOTES
• California (2-8-1, 0-5) has lost 10-consecutive games in the series against Gannon dating back to 2019.
• The Golden Knights built a 2-0 lead at the break behind a pair of goals from Freder Skov Paulsen within a span of six-plus minutes.
• The teams were issued a combined five yellow cards over a 30-minute stretch midway through the contest.
• Gannon then scored two additional goals in just over a minute, starting at the 58:15-mark.
• Senior AJ Visco tallied three saves in the losing effort.
• The Golden Knights finished the game with a 14-6 shot advantage and held a 7-5 edge in corner kicks.
