CALIFORNIA (Oct. 17) – In their final match of the fall season, the Vulcans were edged by a 4-3 margin against West Virginia Wesleyan at Roadman Park on Friday afternoon in non-conference action.

• California (3-3) finishes its fall season with a pair of 4-3 losses over the past week.
• The Bobcats opened the match by capturing the doubles point with victories at the first and third positions.
• Senior Diletta Maria Mungo and sophomore Garance Laforet collected a 6-3 victory at the second slot.
• The tandem of Mungo and Laforet closes the fall campaign with an undefeated 6-0 mark in dual matches.
• Mungo later earned a 6-1, 6-1 win at second singles, while Laforet tallied a 6-3, 6-0 victory at the fourth position.
• West Virginia Wesleyan clinched the match victory with a win at third singles.
• Senior Teddi Isherwood closed play with a 4-6, 6-2, 6-2 victory at the first slot over Dominique Jansen van Vuuren – an All-MEC selection last spring.
