FAIRMONT, WV (Oct. 17) – The Vulcans registered six second-place finishes and reached one Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC)-qualifying mark on Friday evening while competing in a tri-meet hosted by Fairmont State.
TEAM SCORES
• California (0-2) was competing in its first dual action of the season.
• The Vulcans suffered a 124-77 loss to Shippensburg and dropped a 109-94 contest to the hosting Fighting Falcons.
PSAC STANDARD
• Freshman
Ashlyn Zeier reached the conference-qualifying mark in the 100 backstroke for a consecutive week.
NOTES
• Zeier finished second in both the 100 backstroke and 200 IM in West Virginia.
• The 200 medley relay of Zeier, senior

Lacey Noble and senior
Ashlyn Hornick placed second on Friday.
• Root also posted a second-place finish in the 100 breaststroke.

Adeline McCusker (1000 freestyle) and freshman
Abby Simpkins (100 butterfly) both finished second in induvial events at the tri-meet.

• The Vulcans return to action on Oct. 25 when they host a tri-meet against Davis & Elkins and West Virginia Wesleyan in Hamer Hall at 1 p.m.
