CALIFORNIA (Oct. 14) – The Vulcans recorded a season-best .333 hitting percentage in a 3-0 win (25-20, 25-22, 25-18) against Ursuline (OH) on Tuesday evening at the Convocation Center in non-conference action.

• All 20 players for California (PA) (15-4) saw time against Ursuline, which is a member of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC)
• Freshman
Olivia Weiseman paced the team with both 14 kills and 12 digs versus the Arrows.
• She hit at an impressive .423 clip while recording her 11th kill/dig double-double of the year.
• Junior
Sarah Stephenson tallied 13 kills on a .375 hitting percentage and sophomore
Lindsey Scammell added seven kills in the victory.
• Sophomore
Morgan Johnson collected 21 assists and two service aces, while senior
Adrianna Favata finished with 19 assists on Tuesday.
• Midway through the first set, Ursuline held a 14-10 lead before Cal later won eight of nine points to seize an 18-15 advantage.
• The Vulcans closed the set by claiming six of the last seven points, 25-20.
• In the second set, Cal hit at an impressive .389 clip while tallying 18 kills on 36 attempts.
• The Vulcans built a 20-15 lead after winning five of six points before finishing the set with a 25-22 victory.
• Cal mounted a 7-2 run midway through the third set to claim a 19-11 advantage and closed the match with a 25-18 win.
