INDIANA, Pa. (Sept. 11) – After being held to one of its lowest hitting percentages of the year, the California (PA) volleyball team dropped a 3-1 match (20-25, 25-23, 25-18, 25-10) at IUP on Saturday evening in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West action.

• The Vulcans (14-4, 2-2) have played three of their last four matches on the road.

Olivia Weiseman led the team with 11 kills on a .267 hitting percentage.

Sarah Stephenson added 10 kills against the Crimson Hawks.

Adrianna Favata registered an assist/dig double-double with 16 assists and 10 digs.
• Sophomore
Morgan Johnson finished with 12 assists on Saturday.

Caroline Mercer tied Favata for the team lead with 10 digs in the loss.

Lindsey Scammell recorded a team-high five blocks in the road match.
• In the first set, Cal committed just two attacking errors and hit at a .393 clip.
• The Vulcans mounted a 12-4 run to build an 18-11 lead before capturing the set, 25-20.
• IUP and Cal combined for 14 ties and four lead changes in the second set on Saturday.
• Late in the set, the teams traded 10-consecutive points before the Crimson Hawks won the final two points, 25-23.
• The Crimson Hawks raced out to an 8-1 lead to open the third set and captured a 25-18 victory.
• IUP started the fourth set on a 12-3 run and secured the match win with a 25-10 win in the set.
