ERIE, Pa. (Jan. 4) – The California (PA) men's basketball team was unable to overcome three-point shooting of Gannon while suffering a 108-71 road loss in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West action on Saturday afternoon.

• The Vulcans (7-8, 2-5) and Golden Knights have played three times at the Hagerty Family Events Center since last February.

Donald Whitehead, Jr. led the team with 14 points and added five assists and three steals in the contest.

Dalman Alexander totaled nine points and five rebounds, while classmate
Eli Brooks posted five points, two rebounds and four assists in 12 minutes off the bench.

Keondre DeShields both scored 11 points in the loss.
• Gannon mounted a 22-8 run midway through the first half to seize a 30-15 lead with 8:20 left before the break.
• The Vulcans cut the deficit to single digits at the 5:55-mark before the Golden Knights took a 52-34 lead at halftime.
• Gannon converted 10 three-pointers in the second half while totaling 56 points.
• Cal finished the game with a .356 field-goal percentage (26-of-73) after making a season-low six three-pointers.
• The Vulcans collected 12 steals while both teams committed 22 turnovers on Saturday.
• The Golden Knights converted 16-of-30 (53.3 percent) from beyond the arc in the victory.
