Vulcans suffer loss at No. 10 Seton Hill

Harris, I. Williams both set season high in points; Griffins remain undefeated in PSAC play

GREENSBURG, Pa. (Jan. 11) – The Vulcans trailed No. 10 Seton Hill by just one point late in the second quarter on Saturday afternoon before falling by a 93-74 count on the road in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West play.

NOTES
• California (7-8, 4-5) won the previous nine meetings against Seton Hill dating back to the 2018-19 campaign.
• Senior Allycia Harris recorded her third double-double of the year, finishing with a season-high 18 points and 14 rebounds (eight offensive).
• She also collected five steals while playing 32 minutes on Saturday.
• Classmate Iyahnna Williams scored a season-high 21 points on 8-of-14 shooting.
• She also tallied four rebounds and three steals against the Griffins.
• Fellow senior Talia Gilliard finished with eight points, four rebounds, two blocks and four steals in the loss.
• The teams combined for 11 lead changes and four ties in the first quarter with the Vulcans holding a 22-21 lead after the initial 10 minutes.
• Seton Hill scored six-straight points in the final minute of the second quarter to take a 42-34 lead at the break.
• The Griffins built a 75-50 lead in the third quarter after scoring 33 points behind an astounding 13-of-14 (92.9 percent) from the floor.
• Seton Hill maintained a 20-point lead for the majority of the fourth quarter on Saturday.
• The Vulcans finished the game shooting 42.0 percent (29-of-69) from the floor and converted just 52.0 percent (13-of-25) from the free-throw line.
• Cal was out-rebounded for only the fourth time this year (46-34).
• The teams combined for 98 points in the paint on Saturday.
