CALIFORNIA (Sept. 28) – Playing their third match this week, the Vulcans were dealt a 3-1 loss (20-25, 25-19, 25-22, 25-21) by Edinboro at the Convocation Center in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West play on Saturday evening.
NOTES
• California (3-8, 0-2) led wire-to-wire in the first set while posting a .243 hitting percentage.
• Senior
Sophia Johnson led the team with 12 kills while hitting at a .280 clip.
• Junior
Elisa Rugiero added nine kills and freshman
Anna-Marie Petricevic finished with eight kills.
• Junior
Adrianna Favata collected an assist/dig double-double after totaling 20 assists and 16 digs.
• Junior libero
Caroline Mercer set a season high with 22 digs, as four player collected double-digit digs on Saturday.
• Sophomore
Kay Lindenfelser finished with 19 digs and senior
Allie Droneberger posted 14 digs.
• Johnson also was credited with four blocks against the Fighting Scots.
