CALIFORNIA (Sept. 11) – The Vulcans opened the fall portion of their schedule with a 6-1 victory against Shippensburg on Wednesday afternoon in non-conference play at Roadman Park.

NOTES
• California has played Shippensburg in each of the last four fall seasons, all wins.
• The Vulcans swept the doubles session by winning each match by a 6-0 count.
• Cal posted straight-set victories in singles play at the first through fifth positions.
• The Vulcans featured three newcomers in the lineup on Wednesday, including junior transfer Teddi Isherwood who earned victories at first doubles and first singles.

• The Vulcans will send four entries to compete at the ITA Atlantic Regional Championships in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, on Sept. 13-15.
